MOM PROM – APRIL 29TH   AT MALLOZZI’S IN ROTTERDAM

Vicky Holley and Barb DeMarco brought a fun suggestion to our group. The Mom Prom, Friday April 29th 6:30 at Mallozzi’s.  There are 17 Chicks signed up to attend this fun evening.  This event is hosted by the Zonta Organization as a fund raiser for local service organizations. 

For those Chicks that have signed up for the Limo, the Limo will be arriving at 5:30 PM to pick us up at Vicky's house that evening to get us to the Prom in plenty of time. 

Our chapter is invited to solicit a vendor to donate a basket for raffle if we want to. Or the Chicks could put a basket together directly from us-no obligation. Is anyone interested in being responsible for this - if so, let Vicky know in a note or email.

Vicky and Barb are planning on hosting a pre prom party at Vicky’s home in Niskayuna. Vicky will provide the wine and Barb is planning on bringing a cheese and cracker plate.  If you would like to bring a snack to share, please let Barb know what you plan to bring.   There is plenty of on street parking for anyone who wants to double up and drive together to the Prom.

Vicky will be sending out a more detailed email on the time we should be arriving at her home for our pre-prom party.

Stockade Tour  - August 3rd

Ade has organized a booking reservation for a guided tour of the Schenectady Stockade and the Schenectady Historical Society and lunch afterward at historic Arthur’s Market on Wednesday, August 3rd, at 10:00 am.  Please check with Ade to ask if there are any openings left for ths tour, if you are interested in attending.  Ade has already collected checks and made the reservation for our group.  This is going to be an amazing tour, taking a walk back in the history of Schenectady's Stockade Area.

Our Chick, Janet is going to try another hat decorating party.  She will let us know a date. Thank you Janet.


Our Chick, Linda Rhinehart plans trips for the Glenville Senior Center.  She has offered The Chicks access to any of these trips. She has a couple of trips “in the works” and will let us know when they are in the final stage.  One trip she is working on is a lobster fest in August at the Log Cabin.  We will post the information for the trips in our newsletter or by email.  Thank you Linda.
