New York City Bus Trip - October 21st
A note from Marty and Barbie
As many of you know Barb and I have been exploring the stores in the Garment District in New York City. We have found lots of hats and rhinestones! We have gotten some great buys. Some of you have voiced that you would like to go on one of the trips.
We have found the Yankee Trails trip called “NY MY WAY” gives us a stress-free ride down and back. The day requires LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of walking. We are planning our next trip for October 21st. If you would like to join us please make your arrangements with Yankee Trails.
I will have a typed sheet with store names and addresses. I will also have a copy of a map of the area. The bus will let us off at Bryant Park. We usually walk the blocks to the district shopping along the way. I will also provide my cell number and before you leave the bus you can give me yours. As we all shop at our own pace and we are all in the same area we can meet for lunch if it works out. The bus leaves Bryant park around dinner time so we can either all meet for dinner or we can bring something back to the bus.
It will be fun exploring all the shops and finding our own bargains and our own new stores. We have not yet found much in the clothing line or the shoe line but we hear they are there.
Happy Shopping and be prepared to see more rhinestones than you have ever seen in one place. Hats, Scarves, fabrics and feathers. So make your arrangements with Yankee Trails and let me know if you plan to come along so I have enough maps and store listings.
Comfortable clothing and certainly walking shoes will be needed. No need for red and purple.

I just heard about an event at Grapevine Farms!
A fall into Fashion show!
November 4th at 6:00 PM Dinner will be served. The menu being Roast Turkey with homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, farmhouse roasted broccoli and carrots and a side of cranberry sauce. A fall dessert will also be served. 1st drink included with ticket.
They will be having a fashion show showcasing their newest clothing lines, handbags, jewelry and accessories.
There will be shopping after dinner and they will have coupons and specials. Raffles will also be going on. They also have wine tasting downstairs.
All this for 25.00 per person.
I called to ask about availability. At the moment there is room for us but she says they sell out each year. They will not reserve a seat without payment. She is working with me to have seats for us but I will need your checks made out to me as soon as possible. She is holding my credit card for now but will need more positive numbers.

Tony and Tina's Wedding -
Our Chapter has enjoyed hosting many Milestone Birthdays, a Mother of the Bride shower and a Baby shower why not celebrate a Wedding!
Based on a traditional Italian-American wedding and reception, with warm and intrusive stereotypes exaggerated of immersive comedy show staged as an evening of nuptials for two Italian-American families from different sides of the tracks. What can go wrong does go wrong in this we will see as we will all be part of the families. We all will get in involved in this Fun Faux wedding.
Tina Sawyer will be our Tina and we are on the look out for Tony! Tina's fortune perdiction is that she will be married on 2.18.18! Will her perdiction come true? This event is in the planning stages. All suggestions are welcome. More information to follow.
