August Events

August 16th  Day at Glen Lake

Marty invited the Chicks for an enjoyable and relaxing day at the home of her Brother David and his wife, Susan on beautiful Glen Lake.  We started the day taking a tour of David and Susan’s new home. They were the perfect host and hostess and opened their home to us.  We sat out on the patio and enjoyed taking in the view of the lake and beautiful grounds around their home. Marty had tasty favors for us to enjoy. We had plenty of snacks and cold drinks throughout the day.. Susan made her delicious nachos for us to enjoy and David’s margarita were to die for.  Chucky, Judy and Nancy went in for a swim and sat out on the docks.  We had a delicious lunch enjoying sandwiches platters from Greshons.  Later in the day, David took us out for a boat ride on his pontoon boat around the entire lake.  We ended the day by sitting around the fire pit, toasting marshmallows and making smores and munching on homemade cookies that Marty brought.  It was certain a special day for us to remember.  Marty, thank you for planning such a fun day for us to enjoy a summer day by the lake!!
