Below are the Email notes from Marty regarding several upcoming events are listed below. I added them to the newsletter just as a gentle reminder. Please let Marty know if you are planning on attending.
1) There was not a lot of response to the picnic in the park. I was able to stop the permit for the pavilion which was going to cost 50.00. I will be in touch with those who were planning to attend and return checks and see how many would like to go to Slicks' for lunch that day.
2) We talked about a Wade bus trip on Sept 27th at our last meeting and there were many of you interested. The trip is called "Experience the Adirondacks" and includes a guided tour of Camp Sagamore, a lunch cruise/ buffet style lunch and admission to the Adirondack Museum. The cost is 109.00 per person. You can make your reservation by calling 518-355-4500. Let me know so I can arrange seating together as they now have assigned seating.
3) How many are interested in The Walk across the Hudson on Sept 13th. Ade has found us a place for lunch and we will arrange car pooling as we get closer to the date. Let me know if you are planning to come along with us.
4) I have a refund for the 45.00 we gave to the Queen's Council towards the convention. I deposited in our account. We can decide later if that is where it should stay or if we prefer to do something else with it.

The Black Hat Diamond Divas are hosting a Kaleidoscope Erie Canal Sightseeing Cruise
Date: September 8th – Saturday
Time: 12:30 at the Gems along the Mohawk (Boat leave the dock at 1PM)
Cost: 22.00 for the cruise
Attire: Casual summer Kaleidoscope colors attire

Pat Glaush wanted me to forward some information to anyone planning on attending this event.
Pat and Oradell will be handling making all hotel reservations for us. We do not need to call the hotel or do anything regarding the hotel. All we need to do is send in the $45.00 registration fee along with the registration form that includes our names and who we are rooming with, our emails and phone number and our credit card number(s) to pay for the hotel room. The credit cards will not be charged until the last day of the weekend. (the hotel bill will be slipped under the hotel room door) we do not need to call the hotel about making a room reservation. their finest purples and adorning their most outrageous red
hats as they “RUNAWAY”for a weekend with their friends and Red Hatted
sisters. The Red Hatters of “La Tri O” will be hosting the16th Annual RED
HAT “RUNAWAY”on September 21 – 23, 2018 at the Hilton Scranton & Conference
Center in Scranton, PA.
La Tri O has planned an all-inclusive “RUNAWAY

The Sparkling Scarlets are having their annual Halloween Party at Professor Javas on Wolf Road in Albany and the Chicks are invited to attend. We will be ordering off the menu. This is always a fun evening so plan to attend wearing your favorite costume!
