At the recent dinner meeting, Marty passed around flyers and information on suggestions for future events and asked everyone to put a check mark on any event that they were interested in doing. Listed below are the suggestions and more details will be forthcoming once Marty has had time to review which events people were interested in doing. JULY 21 st - GLITZY CHICKS EVENT _ RED HAT
Mohawk River Cruise
Date: Saturday – July 21st
Time: 2:30pm-3:30pm (plan to be at the dock by 2:15pm)
Place: The Water's Edge Lighthouse Restaurant at Freeman’s Bridge Road
Price: $23.00
Attire: Theme - Red Hat casual summer attire and flat sandals or shoes for the boat ride. If you would like to add in nautical accents to your outfit it is optional, please do!
This cruise is new to our end of the Mohawk. It has gotten good reviews and something fun to do on a July Saturday afternoon. It is a 27 passenger and is a glass bottom boat. It will be interesting to see as we look down into the Mohawk River! The Cruise takes about an hour and it will cruise towards lock 7 and then turn around to come back.
The captain will pick us up at the Water’s Edge Lighthouse dock and then drop us off after the cruise. After the cruise we will have a late lunch or early dinner at the Water’s Edge Lighthouse.
There are a few seats open on the cruise. If you want to go, I appreciate it if you will response before July 5, I am calling in our final number that day. Linnie

August 24 th - Central Park Picnic - Red Hat
Lynn thought an August picnic would be fun. She has reserved the pavilion at central park in Schenectady for August 24th from 12 to 4. We are going to have sandwiches from Slicks, drinks and dessert.
Please send a check for $20.00 to Marty Deschaine, 1289 Parkwood Blvd, Schenectady NY and she will pick up the food and drinks. Marty will have the sandwich choice at a later date.

The cruise is 90 minutes of history, entertainment, education, humor, calm cruising, and pure family fun! There are restrooms on board on boat for your convenience.
In addition, Gems Along the the Mohawk is also the Home of the famous Waterfront Grille that serves lunch and dinner and also there is a really nice gift shoppe next to the grille. Pat and Oradell will be handling making all hotel reservations for us. We do not need to call the hotel or do anything regarding the hotel. All we need to do is send in the $45.00 registration fee along with the registration form that includes our names and who we are rooming with, our emails and phone number and our credit card number(s) to pay for the hotel room. The credit cards will not be charged until the last day of the weekend. (the hotel bill will be slipped under the hotel room door) we do not need to call the hotel about making a room reservation.
